Terms of Service

Last updated 3 September 2026

These terms cover your use of crammly.app. Using the service means you agree to them.

What Crammly does

Crammly reads course material you already have access to in Canvas and generates practice questions and study notes from it. It is a study aid. It does not submit anything to Canvas, and it cannot change your coursework or grades.

Your account

You need a working email address and you must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One account per person.

Academic honesty

Crammly is for studying. Using it to complete graded work, during an exam, or in any way your instructor or institution prohibits is a misuse of the service, and it is your responsibility to know your school's rules. Crammly cannot access unpublished quizzes or answer keys, and we will not build features that do.

Your material

Course material belongs to whoever wrote it — usually your instructor, your school, or a publisher. Crammly processes it on your behalf because you already have access to it, and you confirm you have that access. Do not use Crammly with material you are not entitled to read.

Study material Crammly generates is yours to use for your own studying. Because generated material is stored against a fingerprint of the source text, other students with access to the same chapter may be served the same generated questions.

Free and paid plans

Free accounts can unlock 2 chapters, with unlimited replays of those chapters. Premium removes that limit and unlocks the full set of study modes, at $4.99 per month or $29.99 once.

Monthly plans renew until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not refund the current period. “Lifetime” means for as long as Crammly operates as a service. If we ever shut down, we will give lifetime members notice and a way to export their material.

If something goes wrong with a payment, email support@crammly.app within 14 days and we will sort it out.

Fair use

Generating questions costs us money, so there are rate limits. Do not attempt to bypass them, share one account across many people, resell access, or automate the service beyond normal personal study. We may suspend accounts that do.

Quality

Questions are generated automatically from your course material and can contain mistakes. Crammly is a practice tool, not a source of truth — always trust your instructor and your textbook over a generated question. We make no guarantee about grades or exam outcomes.

Availability

We aim to keep Crammly running but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and we may discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

Not affiliated with Canvas

Crammly is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instructure, Canvas, or any school or university. Your school may restrict third-party tools, and it is your responsibility to comply with its policies.

Ending things

You can stop using Crammly and request deletion at any time by emailing support@crammly.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we will explain why where we can.

Liability

Crammly is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes

We will email you before any material change to these terms takes effect. Continuing to use Crammly afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
